Ontario Walleye

FROM IVANHOE LAKE "Fall 2007"

Dear Outdoor Enthusiasts, NOVEMBER 2007

To all our wonderful guests-friends we Thank You for another great season! We have been very careful with our 2008 rates and we believe “We have what you want!”

Some of our many improvements for 2008!

  1. 33 New Yamaha Motors ordered!

  2. 50+ New Padded Swivel Boat seats.

  3. More lake choices for 2008, with smaller minimum party sizes.

  4. Increased discounts for Larger Parties.

  5. We are offering featured Lakes in 2008 with BETTER PRICING. This year they are Little Lemoine and Northpoint.

  6. We are fighting inflation by decreasing our prices for larger parties.

We promise as an outfitter to provide you with Well-Maintained Aircraft, outpost cabins, great fishing and a wonderful vacation. Our brochure will explain all our vacation packages including the outposts, drive in lodge called the “IVANHOE RIVER INN”, and our fly-in lodge called “NEMEGOSENDA LAKE LODGE” and our 3 Boat-Inn Outposts on Ivanhoe Lake waterways.Have a REEL vacation for 2008, “LETS GO FISHIN!”

FOR OUR US CUSTOMERS

This is the year that you will require a PASSPORT if you are driving into Canada, so start the process as soon as possible. According to the news in 2007 there were thousands of people that had booked overseas trips, that had to cancel, because they did not have their passport in time. So start “NOW”.

US Currency has lost ground in the last 6 months to the Canadian Dollar. What was a premium for US Guests in the last 30 years is now gone the other way with the Canadian dollar higher by 5-8% at this time. Traditionally there is more fluctuation in the exchange rate in the summer, so if there is a concern then either prepay over the winter for the entire trip, or at least put a larger deposit on your trip. For deposits we accept all major cards for deposits, but we recommend for US guests to pay with a check. We will give you the best rate for the deposit, and most times it is better than what our bank will offer us.

NEW FOR 2008

We are reopening Arbeesee Lake that has been resting for 2 years and we expect to see dynamic Pike fishing with the odd monster. We have dropped from a party of 6 maximum for Northpoint to a party of 4 and plan on having 2 Boats & Motors at the cabin and 2 boats and motors on the other side of the Beaver Dam to Rice Lake. We will plan on building docks on both sides as soon as we can in 2008. Katagi had a dock extension plus a new dock built in 2007, and we are working on doing a major retrofit for Katagi in 2008.

We are featuring two mini-cabins, WITH TOP NOTCH FISHING! The schedule for these camps is only for 8 weeks for each camp, so you need to book early. (They may be rustic, but the fishing is worth it!)

Our drive-inn lodge on Ivanhoe Lake is called the Ivanhoe River Inn. This vertical log building is our seaplane base and the check in headquarters, offering fishing licenses, bait, ice, tackle, great gifts, outfitting store, art gallery, overnight accommodations, and great food Thursday through Sunday. The Ivanhoe River Inn also offers daily accommodations, and housekeeping plan packages to fish the 25 mile long Ivanhoe Lake waterway for excellent Northern Pike, Walleye & Jumbo Perch.

Our three Boat Inn Outpost Cabins on the Ivanhoe waterway are being offered at a Bargain Price. We feature NEW 15 Horsepower Yamaha engines on 16’ and 14’ Lund boats and include 1 Boat & Motor Combination with each package. Additional Boats & Motors can be rented or you can bring your own. Most of our repeat Boat-Inn Guests rave about its wildlife and superb fishing!.

The fly-inn lodge Nemegosenda Lake Lodge will be offering 3, 4, or 7 day American Plan Packages, and a very up scale Housekeeping Package for 4 or 7 days. 2007 was a dynamic fishing year with plenty of larger Walleye caught.

Clear waters, blue skies with low humidity, moderate temperatures, wilderness, and lots and lots of great fishing! And even better lots of GREAT CATCHING! REEL FUN! REEL ADVENTURES!

As North America is surrounded in festive colors of red and green, we are celebrating the thoughts of Go Green! Go Blue! (Not Football colors) but the colors of nature. Green trees, blue water, blue skies, so live a lot, and please come join us in the 2008 “GREAT OUTDOOR SEASON”

Your friends on Ivanhoe Lake,

George, Jeanne, Joel & Jenna Theriault
And all the Staff of Air Ivanhoe!

Drive In Lodge Guests

DEAR GUESTS

We continue to express our deepest gratitude to all who have flown with us! Your experience is our motivating factor in running this business, because working 16+ hour days is not the most enjoyable way to live some days, but hearing from you on how much fun you had and your expression of fishing satisfaction is not only motivating but satisfying to us as well.

We might not get the chance to talk a lot with you on Friday, Saturday or Sunday mornings with all the craziness going on, but it's because we want to get you all to where it is that you came here for, your cabin and your lake and hopefully a great week of fishing.
